"Reasonless" attack on a folk festival: police officers seriously injured - investigations are ongoing

Excessive violence in Landshut: Several police officers were suddenly attacked at a folk festival and some were seriously injured.
Landshut – A group of men injured three officials, some seriously, in a dispute with police officers at the Landshuter Frühlingsdult.
Two suspected thugs aged 33 and 38 were taken into custody, the police said on Sunday (May 8).

The older of the two is accused of attempted manslaughter: He is said to have kicked a police officer lying on the ground in the face.
The 33-year-old has to answer on suspicion of intentional bodily harm.
According to the police, the officers were "insulted and physically attacked for no reason" by the men in front of a marquee on Saturday.
The police used pepper spray and batons.
A police spokesman said that initially nothing was known about injuries to the alleged attackers.
Three police officers were taken to the hospital with injuries, some of them serious.
A total of four men were taken into custody.
Excessive violence at a folk festival: the police issue arrest warrants
Arrest warrants were issued against the 38-year-old and the 33-year-old on Sunday.
The extent and nature of the involvement of the other two men has yet to be determined.
