- "Between the years" is the title of a benefit folk music evening that has taken place every year around Epiphany for almost three decades as part of the Christmas campaign "Readers help help" by Tölzer Kurier, Isar-Loisachbote and Geretsrieder Merkur.

After this meeting of singers and musicians had to be canceled in both 2021 and January 2022 due to the pandemic, the organizers from the Tölz editorial team set a new date.

On Wednesday, May 25th (the day before Ascension Day) at 8 p.m. the time has come: A varied program will be offered on the stage in the Ascholdinger "Holzwirt" for a good cause - this time under the motto "Folk music in May “.

The "Schliffboch Music" will be there.

This group is still quite young in its current formation, but basically the three young women and two men who belong to it are all experienced musicians.

Barbara Hagn, Elisabeth Gloggner, Florian Gloggner and Elisabeth Obermüller from Kreuth have been forming a string quartet with dulcimer, harp, guitar and double bass for some time.

Through the acquaintance with accordion player Ludwig Bosch, who comes from Wall and has meanwhile settled in Fischbach im Isarwinkel, the quartet became a quintet.

Where does the name "Schliffboch Music" come from?

"The Schliffbach is a mountain stream that has its source in the Röhrlmoos and connects the Kreuther and Isar valleys, our places of origin," says Bosch.

However, making music together didn't really get going at first, because Corona soon took over the baton and caused longer breaks.

But now the five want to revive their musical hobby.

With a taste of their repertoire they contribute free of charge to the success of the benefit concert.
