Eintracht Braunschweig returns to the 2nd Bundesliga.
However, the rise does not succeed on their own on Saturday in Meppen, but only one day later due to another blunder of their big rival 1. FC Kaiserslautern.
Braunschweig – With a day delay, Eintracht Braunschweig’s promotion to the second division is still perfect.
Only 24 hours after their own 2:3 defeat in Meppen, the competitor 1. FC Kaiserslautern also lost 0:2 (0:2) at Viktoria Köln on Sunday and can no longer take the Lower Saxony from second place in the 3rd soccer oust league.
For the German champions from 1967, it is the sixth promotion to the second division in their history after 1988, 2002, 2005, 2011 and 2020.

Moritz Fritz (26th minute) and David Philipp (38th) scored for Cologne on Sunday, who celebrated relegation as a result and now have to play in Braunschweig in a meaningless last game of the season for both teams next Saturday.
After the final whistle in Meppen, Eintracht still looked as if they would face another battle of nerves on the last day of the game, as they did when they were promoted in 2002 and 2005.
Thilo Leugers (2nd/penalty) and Richard Sukuta Pasu (16th) gave the Emslanders an early lead.
Lion Lauberbach (34th) and Jan Hendrik Marx (68th) equalized for the promotion candidate.
After a yellow-red card for Max Dombrowka (79th), René Guder (87th) scored to make it 3-2 for SVM, who were outnumbered and previously without a win twelve times.
Coach Michael Schiele said on Saturday: "We have to let that sink in first.
We have to stay positive.” dpa
