A brutal attack occurred late Saturday evening at the train station in Herrsching.

Three people had to be hospitalized temporarily, and a 21-year-old was arrested.

Herrsching

– As reported by the Munich Federal Police Inspectorate, the Deutsche Bahn emergency control center informed the officials around 11 p.m.

Several patrols from the federal and state police then drove to the scene.

According to initial investigations, a 41-year-old German from Gilching boarded an S 8 at the train station in Herrsching, where she was "suddenly surrounded, harassed and beaten by a group of people," according to a police spokeswoman.

"When her partner, a 55-year-old German, came to the scene to help her, a 21-year-old reportedly hit him on the head with a bottle.

The train driver of the S-Bahn, a 43-year-old Macedonian, noticed the incident and rushed to help the attacked.” The 21-year-old attacked him too, hitting his head with his fist.

The couple then left the S-Bahn, but were pursued by the aggressor.

He is said to have continued to punch and kick her.

The police managed to arrest the 21-year-old, a Somali man, on the spot.

The other people in the group, on the other hand, were able to escape before the police arrived.

"They could no longer be found during the search measures," said the police spokeswoman.

"It is currently assumed that the other people were not involved in the crime."

The 21-year-old was very drunk.

According to the federal police, a test showed a breath alcohol concentration of around 2.4 per thousand.

The man has no permanent residence in Germany.

He was due to appear in court on Sunday.

"As a result of the beating, the attacked suffered injuries in the form of lacerations and hematomas," the police spokeswoman continued to report.

They were given first aid by rescue workers who were alerted and then taken to various hospitals for further treatment.

All three could have left the clinic in the meantime.

The federal police have started investigations against the 21-year-old for dangerous bodily harm.
