How to break into a safe in seconds with a magnet and a sock (Mr. Locksmith)

What would you do if you were to open the second-hand cabinets you ordered online and find there a steppe of cash that belongs (apparently) to the previous owners of the closet?

Would you put them in your pocket and move on or try to locate and contact the original owners to get their money back?

This is the dilemma faced by Thomas Heller from Bitterfield, Germany, who purchased second-hand kitchen cabinets from eBay for $ 250 and found $ 163,000 worth of bills inside.

The buyer purchased the cabinets from an elderly couple after lowering their price from $ 315 to just $ 250.

Inside one of the closets, the 50-year-old social housing project manager found two hidden boxes containing packages of bills in very high amounts.

Instead of putting the money in his pocket and continuing with the agenda, he decided to locate the owners and give them back their lost money.

Heller took the furniture to the local police station and asked for their help.

He told local media: "One box was open and had a lot of 100 euro banknotes looking at me. When we opened the second locked box we saw taller banknotes in envelopes - two hundred and five hundred euros."

Police opened an investigation in an attempt to find the original owner of the kitchen.

Police spokeswoman Astrid Cochetta confirmed that the kitchen came from a "liquidation sale of a household of an elderly couple from Halle," and that a 91-year-old woman was the original owner of the bills.

"The two cash boxes were well hidden in hard-to-see areas," Cochetta explained.

It later emerged that the grandson of the elderly couple had sold the kitchen on their behalf.

He told the local media that he had no idea about the money hidden in them.

If you're wondering if it's just Thomas' kindness that led him to look for the money owner and return it - there may have been another crucial reason.

Under German law, keeping more than 10 euros of lost money constitutes an embezzlement offense, as the offender may face up to three years in prison.

In addition, according to German law, anyone who finds and returns lost money to its owner is entitled to a 3 percent commission.

In other words, Thomas not only got to do the right and moral thing - he also pocketed a considerable sum of 4,750 dollars (4,500 euros).

Would you settle for the 3 percent commission or stay with the money?
