A car overturns on the A2, remains on the roof - one of the occupants can only be recovered dead, a child is critically injured.
How could this happen?
Witnesses noticed one thing.
Lehrte – One person died in an accident on Autobahn 2 in the Hanover area.
Four others were seriously injured and one child suffered life-threatening injuries.
The car with the five occupants overturned on Sunday morning near the Hämelerwald junction near Lehrte, a police spokeswoman said.
Initially, there was no further information about the victims, a family from Ukraine.
The cause of the accident was also initially unclear, so other cars were not involved.

Witnesses had stated that the car was noticed with risky driving and, for example, almost hit another car, said the spokeswoman.
Then the driver lost control, the car left the road and overturned.
According to the Hämelerwald fire department, the car remained on the roof in a ditch.
The motorway in the direction of Dortmund was completely closed at the scene of the accident for the period of the rescue work.
According to the fire department, the occupants in the front two seats freed themselves from the car.
Three other people, including a child and a teenager, were in the back seat.
In the case of the third person in the back seat, an adult, the emergency doctor could only determine death.
With the help of hydraulic assistance, scissors and a spreader, a door of the car was opened to free the trapped people.
The two young people with serious injuries were taken to nearby hospitals by rescue helicopter.
