After the forecasts for the state elections in Schleswig-Holstein, the deputy party leader of the CDU, Carsten Linnemann, expressed his satisfaction with the CDU's performance.
"Respect to Daniel Günther," said Linnemann on Sunday evening on "ZDF".
Berlin - According to the forecasts of ARD and ZDF, the Christian Democrats of the incumbent Prime Minister Günther were well ahead of the SPD and Greens and were able to improve significantly in the election on Sunday compared to 2017.
They got between 41 and 43 percent of the votes (2017: 32.0).
Linnemann explained that this was “decisively” the success of Daniel Günther and not primarily the result of the federal party.
When it comes to security and education, Günther has a clear opinion and conviction.
This is the type of politician who is in demand, said Linnemann.
"He is a beacon of hope," said Linnemann.
