Germering – In the two weeks of the Easter holidays, parents of Germering elementary school children were able to book AWO holiday care.
"A total of 80 children were cared for in the two weeks," reports Dagmar Frech-Baumeister, head of holiday care.
"We are particularly pleased that the children have implemented the hygiene measures well during the holidays and that the two tests per week were all negative."
The start of the holidays is the same in all care weeks: There is a scavenger hunt, during which the children get to know each other, the premises, the caregivers and the rules.
This type has proven itself well in recent years and is a lot of fun for the holiday children.
Every year, the
AWO holiday care
has a
motto
.
In line with this year's theme "Disney", the Easter weeks were dedicated to the individual mottos "Peter Pan" and "Aladdin" with a corresponding range of literature.
For example, the children learned about Walt Disney's beginnings, his inventions and what Disney has to offer today.
In addition, short films from the early days of the group were discussed before the children became active themselves: a Mickey Mouse pinata was made, a flip book was made, superheroes were painted and a Disney park was recreated.
In addition, the children did not lack exercise.
During "Peter Pan" week, children in
Neverland
could prove themselves in pirate games.
A proven ball game was quickly changed to "Disney Ball" and so many funny Disney names could be brought into the game.
The usual playground equipment and the sports field of the elementary school at the Kleinfeldschule were also used extensively before both weeks ended with the obligatory holiday cinema.
