Whether fiery soup or hot beer: when asking for a sponsor, the Goldach fire brigade served the comrades from Eching properly.
But the guests proved that they are tough - and understand fun.

– Kneeling on your head, a peppery broth with wasabi, anchovies, chili, cinnamon and gummy bears and then boiled beer to “go down”: the Eching volunteer fire brigade’s visit to their colleagues in Goldach had everything that goes with a proper sponsorship request.
However, the date was quite unusual - one year after the 150th anniversary of the Echinger.

In September 2021, the FFW Eching celebrated its founding party - contrary to what was planned, not with a four-day festival, but with an open-air service.
The request for a sponsor fell flat due to the corona.
However: “We wanted to do justice to tradition.
So we caught up on what was not possible because of Corona," explained Commander Stephan Zobel.
Now there was the full program “to kneel down” afterwards.

Upon arrival, Eching's commander, Stefan Maidl, and his troops were "run in" by the Goldacher Buam.
In front of the fire station, it was time for the women and men to saw hard.
And finally - after a refreshment with roast pork - kneel down on the logs to ask.
Twelve Echinger had to spoon out the soup - and proved that they are tough.
Convinced that the two right forces have come together, one is on both sides.
"You tick like us, be honest, reliable, uncomplicated and fair," said the Goldach club board member Robert Lackermeier to the Echinger troupe, who had traveled by bus.
"A match would probably say on Tinder." So there's no question that the godparents said "yes" to the people from Eching after passing the test.

There is also a lot of agreement on a technical level: you work hand in hand in the rescue service, with the first responders, across locations, with 200 active and passive personnel, you have roughly the same troop strength - and know that in view of increasing requirements, joint efforts and synergies are important.
“It is no longer a matter of course to do voluntary work in your free time.
That's why we have to make volunteering as attractive as possible and show the public how important our work is," emphasized Lackermeier.
And take the time to celebrate.
The Florian disciples did that extensively.
The hearty broth was digested quickly - and plans were already made for a reunion in Eching at the barbecue and wine festival.
