About a month after the publication of the investigation about the serious defects to the risk of human life in the sites parking lot in Tel Aviv to Walla!
It was learned that an indictment for running a business without a license had been filed against the parking lot operators and that a hearing on the matter was scheduled for next month.
A published article cited a list of serious deficiencies in parking activity, from lack of approval by the fire commission, lack of accessibility for people with disabilities to the number of marked parking spaces exceeding the allowable by tens of percent, all in an attempt to increase profits even at the risk of real life.
In addition, parking prices in this parking lot are significantly higher than those in nearby parking lots.
But above all this hovered the fact that not only during the period of operation of the car park under its current owners, but also during the years when the car park was owned by the municipality and operated by IPI, the car park operated without the required permits and without a legal business license.

In response to a Walla!
The Tel Aviv Municipality stated that "we take the conduct of the parking lot owners, who operate it at a time of refusal to put out the fire, very seriously. To open a suitable judicial proceeding in court, with the aim of closing the parking lot. "
Now this procedure has indeed been opened and a serious indictment has been filed against the car park operators.
And while the municipality is advancing the legal proceedings against the owner, our follow-up review and documents received by us show that in parallel with this proceeding, parking lot owners have been trying in recent weeks to take a series of steps to try and persuade the Fire Commission as well as other entities to grant them an operating license.
For example, the number of disabled parking spaces has increased from four to eight, as required by the standard, and entrants are given a "grace time" of 15 minutes to exit without charge, as required and more.
