We thought it would be perfect to show a trivial fire extinguisher, like that, on his little stele with his alarm system
,” laughs Sowat.
This object from the “Duography” exhibition alone sums up the approach of the duo Lek and Sowat: inserting themselves into unexpected places, while diverting the codes there.
The presence of these two autodidacts from urbex (urban exploration) at the Atelier Grognard in Rueil-Malmaison is enough to arouse curiosity.
"We have already done other exhibitions, but this is our first retrospective
," recalls Sowat, adjusting his cap.
An unknown approach for artists.
“It was way out of our comfort zone.
We are used to going straight without looking back
