Hohenlinden showed that classic car fans don't always have to be fair-weather drivers.
Auto Grill had invited to a cross-brand classic meeting there.
Hohenlinden
- The car dealership is a certified ClassicPartner of Mercedes-Benz and has a wide-ranging restoration workshop.
It should be introduced to the oldie fans.
"We are pleased that so many came despite the bad weather," says Leopold Grill, who runs the company together with his father Richard.
Around midday, a whole series of well-kept automobiles could be admired in and around the car dealership.
The Mercedes owners came with their treasures such as the stitch-eight coupe, SL or S-classes of various series.
BMW gems such as a 1600 GT or a 3.0 CSL, a Jaguar Mark 2, an AC Cobra and a 1949 Cadillac Fleetwood Sedan were also on display.
There were also various models from Alfa, Ford and even Datsun.
Even the drivers of a Wartburg 1.3 and a Trabant 601, which are rather exotic in southern Germany, made their way to Hohenlinden.
The Mercedes classics attracted crowds.

Klaus-Peter Hadeler was also pleased that the meeting was cross-brand.
He found out about the meeting on Facebook and traveled there in his 1983 Opel Monza 3.0 E.
"I like the variety, it's nice to look at this mix," says the classic car fan, who first bought his Monza 20 years ago and has since covered 200,000 kilometers on a daily basis.
On site, he took advantage of Auto Grill's offer to have his car inspected by experts.
"He praised the good condition," says Hadeler, who attaches great importance to originality and a natural patina with his coupé.
Leopold Grill could well imagine establishing the meeting as an annual event and perhaps even expanding it.
"The potential is definitely there."
