Hezbollah strongly condemned the terrorist attack on an Egyptian army unit in the Sinai, expressing its full solidarity with the Egyptian people.
The party said in a statement today that what the terrorist groups have done is aimed at undermining the stability and security of Egypt, diverting attention from Zionist terrorism in occupied Palestine, and bringing the region back into the furnace of strife and internal conflicts.
The party reiterated the necessity of confronting the destructive takfiri ideology, isolating it, and confronting it by Muslim scholars, and taking all precautionary measures throughout the Islamic world to confront it practically and politically.
Yesterday, the Egyptian army announced the killing of an officer and 10 soldiers and the injury of 5 others during a clash with a terrorist group that carried out an attack on a water pumping station east of the Suez Canal.
