Cars caught fire in Kowloon City and Tsz Wan Shan respectively.
At about 3 pm today (May 8), a private car was driving along the Prince Edward Road East flyover towards Mong Kok. When it approached the bridge deck of the Regal Oriental Hotel, smoke burst into flames.
Luckily, the driver and passengers jumped out of the car and called the police.
The fire department dispatched 2 smoke cap teams and 2 throats to fight the fire, and the fire was put out at 3:52.
Police are investigating the cause of the accident, and no injuries were reported in the incident.
In addition, at about 3:00 p.m., a private car outside the Zhengyuan Building of Tsz Ching Village, Tsz Wan Shan also caught fire. The entire car was destroyed. The fire department also rushed to put out the fire. .

The Transport Department announced that due to a vehicle fire, the entire line of Prince Edward Road East Flyover (towards Prince Edward) near the Regal Oriental Hotel has been closed. Motorists are urged to use other roads. The traffic on the site is currently heavy.
