As-Suwayda-Sana
Today, the activities of the Festival (Young Seniors.. Arts Bring Us Together) concluded in As-Suwayda, which is organized by the Directorate of Education in cooperation with the Revolutionary Youth Union and Tala’a Al-Baath organizations, and it included lyrical segments and an art exhibition.
The events witnessed a singing and dancing segment entitled “The Sun of Arts”, a choir link derived from the school curriculum, folk arts, songs and the playing of the lute, in addition to segments and sports performances for students from a number of governorate schools and children from kindergartens.
The events included the opening of an art exhibition that included about 90 oil and watercolor paintings, with the participation of students from different educational levels in the governorate's schools.
The art education director in the Directorate of Education in Suwayda, Haitham Abu Saad, told SANA reporter that the exhibition is the culmination of more than 20 exhibitions that were held during several stages in the governorate’s regions and cities, with the participation of students from most schools, pointing out that the artworks participating in this exhibition were selected by committees. Art education coordinators at the governorate level.
Abu Saad pointed out that the artworks dealt with topics within the curriculum, noting the importance of these exhibitions, which contribute to activating the art education subject, providing skills and techniques for the preparatory stage and creative works for the secondary stage, and refining the skills of the participating students.
For his part, Director of Education in As-Suwayda, Bassam Abu Mahmoud, pointed out in a speech during the events that Syria was and still is a source of art and arts, and it is capable of creating beautiful arts, the most beautiful of which is the feathers of young people who translated this with beautiful paintings.
The closing ceremony of the festival was attended by the Secretary of the Suwayda branch of the Arab Socialist Ba'ath Party, Fawzat Shukair, the head of the provincial council, Engineer Rasmi Al-Aysami, and a number of stakeholders.
It is noteworthy that the festival was launched at the end of last February at the level of schools, then regions, then at the level of cities and then at the level of the governorate.
