After two years: At Ben Gurion Airport they made a decision that would make the passengers happy.
These days, Ben Gurion Airport is packed with passengers.
On busy days, about 70,000 passengers pass through there every day, and as a result, quite a few long queues are created.
A few weeks ago, the airport decided to open Terminal 1 for international flights, which allows passengers to be regulated and the congestion at Terminal 3 reduced.
Currently, passengers passing through Terminal 1 have to get on the bus at the end of the inspection process and were transferred to Duty Free in Terminal 3. To create separation and work in a more efficient process, alongside significant traffic increases, Airports Authority asked Duty Free stores in Terminal 1 to prepare for reopening.

The Airports Authority has announced the ease of duty-free business owners, which should help them recruit staff and open on the due date.
However, it is possible that some of the stores will open at a later date, as mentioned, due to difficulties in recruiting employees.
The expected opening of Duty Free at Terminal 1 should result in the transfer of more flights to Terminal 1 and thus regulate traffic between the terminals, in the hope that the move will lead to a reduction in congestion at each of them.
The duty free shops in Terminal 1 include restaurants, sports shops, books, electrical appliances and more.
