The Chairman of the Russian State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin stressed that the statement issued by the leaders of the Group of Seven on their determination to prevent Russia's victory is an acknowledgment of the success of the Russian military operation in Ukraine.

Volodin noted that the G7 leaders oppose disarmament and de-Nazification and reject the neutral and non-nuclear status of Ukraine and the right of the peoples of the Donetsk and Lugansk republics to self-determination, stressing that it is now clear why the security initiatives proposed by Moscow have not been answered, especially since this process has destroyed their plans to expand NATO in the east.
