A group of theatrical and folklore performances and national and heritage songs included in the event held on the occasion of Martyrs' Day at the Cultural Center in Shahba.
The event, which was organized by the Shahba Division of the Arab Socialist Baath Party, in cooperation with the City Council of Shahba, on the occasion of the Martyrs’ Day, included theatrical scenes presented by the Donia al-Fan Association branch in the city of Shahba on the value of martyrdom and its lofty meanings, the pride in the martyrs and the sacrifices they made, in addition to addressing the daily concerns of the citizen in a comic format.
While the folklore section of the Park Village Band dealt with a painting from the local heritage, the young woman, Samar Al-Hussein, presented songs of a national and heritage nature.
The Secretary of the Shahba Division of the Ba'ath Party, Emil Makarem, referred in a speech during the event to the page of eternity written by the martyrs and the pride in their sacrifices for the sake of the homeland.
Samir Wazir, director of the Donia El-Fan Association branch in Shahba, said in a statement to SANA reporter that during the presented scenes, a number of talents who are being rehabilitated were involved in the preparation course for a representative of the association in order to allow them to appear on various occasions and develop their capabilities for the better.
The director and author of a number of theatrical scenes, Osama Abu Jahjah, pointed out that the scenes dealt, in part, with the current reality and the concerns of the citizen, with a focus on important aspects of the actor's performance, such as the movement of the body and emotions, while presenting a set of monologues of a national character.
The young Tim Al-Rafaa and the young woman, Yara Amer, pointed out the importance of their participation in theatrical scenes to show their beloved acting capabilities.
