Today, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu awarded the Order (Hero of Russia) with the Gold Star to two officers who participated in the special military operation to protect Donbass.
According to the Russian Defense Ministry, Shoigu handed the medal, by decree of President Vladimir Putin, to Lieutenant Colonel Pilot Dmitry Litvinov, commander of one of the assault air regiments, and to Major Air Navigator Viktor Dodin, noting that the official award ceremony was held today at the Defense Administration Center in the capital, Moscow.
The ministry stated that Lieutenant-Colonel Litvinov and Major Dudin carried out many distinguished tasks that demonstrate courage and appreciation for their field positions.
