SPD with the worst result in the north

In the state elections in Schleswig-Holstein, the SPD could achieve its worst result ever in federal and state elections in the north.
According to ARD and ZDF projections, the party around top candidate Thomas Losse-Müller did historically poorly with 15.6 to 15.7 percent and was overtaken by the Greens, who could get 17.5 to 18.4 percent.
Kiel - The SPD achieved its worst state election result in Schleswig-Holstein in 2009 with 25.4 percent.
In federal elections in 2017, the result was the lowest in the north at 23.3 percent.
In the 2017 state elections, the Social Democrats got 27.3 percent.
In the federal elections in September, the state result was 28 percent.
