A 29-year-old resident of Araba, a city in the Galilee, was shot dead tonight (Sunday) - the police have opened an investigation on suspicion of murder.

MDA medics and paramedics were called to the scene upon receiving the report at the 101 hotline, saw the man without signs of life and determined his death.



Police forces arrived at the scene, began investigating the incident and began collecting findings. Because "the investigation at the beginning and at this stage the background is actually unknown."



MDA paramedic Eddie Zogot said that when they arrived at the scene, there was a lot of commotion.

"The wounded man was unconscious and suffering from a penetrating injury," he said.

"We performed medical tests but he was without signs of life and we have no choice but to determine his death."
