An official in the Ukrainian regime threatened to destroy the Crimean bridge linking the Crimean peninsula with the rest of the Russian territory, despite indicating that his regime does not have the means required to achieve this at present.
"The fate of the Crimean Bridge is inevitable and it will inevitably be destroyed, and this is only a matter of time," an advisor to Ukraine's Interior Minister Viktor Androsov said in an interview with Ukraine's Channel 24.
Androsov admitted that Kyiv could not target the bridge at the present time, and said, "We did not obtain the weapons required for this, or rather we have them, but we need to approach the shores of the Azov Sea to achieve this."
And the officer in the Latvian forces, Janis Slaydinj, had previously told the media that there is information about Ukraine's planning to strike the Crimean bridge in conjunction with the Victory Day in Russia on May 9.
The Russian Defense Ministry had warned that it would launch strikes on (decision-making centers) in Ukraine, especially in Kyiv, in response to any sabotage operations on Russian territory.
The Crimean Bridge is 19 km long, making it the longest bridge in Europe.
