The President of the self-proclaimed Republic of Transnistria, Vadim Krasnoselsky, denied Ukrainian reports alleging that the Transnistrian armed forces and (the operational group of Russian peacekeeping forces) were on high alert, stressing that these forces continue to operate as usual.

Krasnoselsky was quoted by TASS news agency as saying on his Telegram channel, “With regard to the new reports claimed by the Ukrainian General Staff on the situation of the Armed Forces of Transnistria on full combat readiness, I confirm that there is no general mobilization and no change has occurred in the work of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Ukraine. Transnistria and the Operational Group of Russian Forces.

"Following a series of terrorist attacks, the Ministry of Interior and a number of other law enforcement agencies have been put into a special mode of operations, where security has been enhanced in a number of places, in addition to the deployment of checkpoints around cities," he added.

"This special order is valid until the 10th of this month and is subject to extension," Krasnoselsky added.

Yesterday, Transnistria announced new attacks on its territory near the border of Ukraine.
