69% of the Jewish public in Israel express concern for the fate of the state, and 67% believe that action should be taken with firearms and the imposition of fines in order to prevent riots and frictions between Jews and Arabs.

This emerges from a survey by the "Securityists" movement, against the background of the wave of terror and marking a year since Operation Guardian of the Walls.

The survey, which examined the Israeli sense of security and governance among a sample of 1,068 people, Jews and Arabs alike, was conducted by the movement's research department. - 75% - believes that the Jewish people have no such right.

However, when asked about their position in the existence of a war of existence between Israel and the Arab states, the Arab sector provided surprising answers: about 23% of respondents emphasized that they would support countries attacking Israel, compared to 26% who would support the State of Israel.

One of the interesting data in the survey concerns the question of support for the establishment of a national guard - a move that was revealed yesterday in "Israel Today".

37% of Israeli Arabs are willing to enlist in the National Guard for assistance in cases of disaster and disorder;

In the Jewish sector, support for enlistment in the National Guard stands at about 54%.

Many of the polls surveyed examined citizens' feelings about tensions in the cities involved last year.

About 53% of Arabs and 88% of the Jewish public believed that the riots were due to national-religious reasons.

22% of Arabs believe that the events took place due to a socio-economic background.

The survey examined, among other things, which courses of action are considered effective for restoring order in the event of violence.

Among the Jewish sector, the measures of action that are perceived as most effective in restoring order are the use of means to disperse demonstrations (72%), the denial of civil rights and non-receipt of funds (70%) and the use of firearms and the imposition of fines (67%).

In contrast, in the Arab public, the aggravation of punishment and the imposition of fines received low support (28%), and about 20% supported the denial of civil rights and non-receipt of funds from the state. "We are now on the threshold of a worrying reality - a lack of governance in the Negev, a public rift, a feeling of insecurity, an impending nuclear agreement and the sending of terrorist attacks by Hamas from Judea and Samaria," said the director general of the security movement, Brigadier General (Res.)
