The meeting of the General Assembly of the Federation of Syrian Chambers of Commerce, which was held today, focused on discussing ways to achieve economic development and enhance cooperation and coordination between the Federation of Chambers of Commerce on the one hand, and the Ministry of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection and the government on the other hand, to facilitate commercial work and the flow of goods in the markets.

Minister of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection, Dr. Amr Salem stressed the need for merchants and industrialists to cooperate and provide data on real costs in order to price materials, pointing out that coordination between the ministry and chambers contributes to uninterrupting basic materials from local markets and facing internal and external challenges.

In his turn, the head of the Federation of Chambers of Commerce, Muhammad Abu Al-Huda Al-Lahham, referred to the circumstances that affected the rise in production costs and the increase in prices, stressing the importance of joint private and governmental work with all its activities to raise the level of economic development.

Vice President of the Federation and Chairman of the Aleppo Chamber of Commerce, Amer Hamwi, pointed out the efforts of traders and industrialists to serve the economic policy of the state and work on coordination between all chambers and unions to come up with unified demands submitted to the government.
