Two other suspected cases of swine fever in Rome
in the same area of case zero, that is an area of the Insugherata park.
This was announced by the Health Department of the Lazio Region.
"From the first findings on analysis of the samples taken on wild boars, two other positive cases emerge with high probability on 16 samples taken - the councilor specifies - the cases refer to the same area as case 0. The samples will be sent to the Zooprophylactic Institute of Perugia for the final confirmation ".
The Department specifies to "continue all the activities provided for by the regional ordinance", that is, among other things, analysis of suspicious animals and carcasses as well as their safe disposal, and asks the ministry "to assign confirmation tests to the Zooprophylactic Institute of Lazio and Tuscany to reduce the timing of outcomes "
In the meantime,
wild boar containment nets have been installed in some areas of Rome
where animal raids have been more frequent.
This morning in Town Hall XV the plan wanted by the Capitol to stem the arrival of ungulates started.
The order of the Lazio Region against swine fever after case zero at the Insugherata park will soon be followed up.
The Councilor for the Environment and Waste of Rome Capital, Sabrina Alfonsi, would have given Ama the order to map the position of the bins on which to intervene, if necessary, with other fences.
In any case, the plan should be discussed tomorrow in a meeting between the department and the investee.
