Hang Seng University students are suspected of instigating a classmate and an insurance broker to rape a woman in the dormitory of Evergrande University. Three people were charged with aiding and abetting rape and rape. They will appear in Kwun Tong Court today (9th). , the magistrate adjourned the case to May 13 for further arraignment, in order for the police to arrange identification procedures, and the three defendants were still under the custody of the police.
3 defendants: Chen Jintao (18 years old, first-year student of Evergrande University), Wen Weilun (21 years old, first-year student of Evergrande University) and Zhu Shaoqin (21 years old, insurance broker).
Chen is accused of aiding and abetting Man Weilun and Zhu Shaoqin to rape woman X on May 6, 2022 in a room at the Jockey Club Residential College of The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong in Shatin; Wen Weilun and Zhu Shaoqin were charged with raping X at the same place on the same day.
3 people do not need to answer for the time being.
They had applied for bail but were refused.
It is reported that Chen and the victim knew each other, and Wen and Zhu were friends; all four were drinking at the time of the incident.
