Munich – Mamertus, Pankratius, Servatius, Bonifatius and Sophia are the names of the ice saints.
It starts on May 11th.
On Sunday, the cold Sophie traditionally ends the last cold days of spring.
But this year there will be no frost in May.

Weather in Bavaria: The risk of forest fires increases due to insufficient precipitation

No further precipitation was announced until the end of the week.
The temperatures, on the other hand, are rising to new heights every day.

Weather in Bavaria: After a taste of summer, the temperature drops
The German Weather Service (DWD) forecasts another increase in values to 28 degrees in Mainfranken on Tuesday.
Lowest values come from the eastern low mountain ranges with 22 degrees.
Wednesday will be mostly sunny.
In addition, there is a gusty wind in Franconia and maximum values of around 24 to 29 degrees.
The 30 degrees will probably not be cracked in Bavaria.
Because from Friday new thunderstorms will move across the Free State and on Saturday there is a risk of a drop in temperature.
The thermometer should drop again to 16 degrees in Kempten and 17 degrees in Munich.
