Wörthsee - The pandemic has also put the culture club of the community library on hold for over two years.

Two years is a long time, especially for children – and so the two people responsible for the cultural club had to recruit their participants (kids from the 4th grade) from scratch.

Before Corona, the culture club made a cultural offer to the children and young people about 10 times a year: workshops, guided tours, visits to the theater and museums, cooking courses, film recordings and much more.

The initial response was huge because the offer was attractive and informal.

The pandemic has changed everything and most of the kids have outgrown the culture club.

It's a good thing that those responsible in the community library are well networked and can speak to the kids or their parents directly.

And so the first workshop in 2 years got off to a successful start last Saturday with 16 young participants: an all-day photo workshop in cooperation with Studio Seefeld.

Marcus Vetter from Studio Seefeld took care of the very interested kids competently and sympathetically.

He had a lot of equipment with him to illustrate the subject of photography: SLR camera, telephoto lens, pinhole camera - but above all he explained clearly how the kids can take good pictures with their cell phones.

Everyone was very interested because photography has become an important part of their lives.

But how do you make “better” pictures?

Light and shadow, sun, perspective, settings and above all looking closely were the main themes.

At the end, everyone was allowed to print out their “best” picture and proudly take it home.

The workshop was part of an offer from the community library, which wants to bring all facets of culture closer to children from the 4th grade.
