In its weekly session today, headed by Engineer Hussein Arnous, the Council of Ministers stressed the need to take all necessary preparations to receive the wheat crop for the current season and motivate farmers to hand over their production to government receiving centers and secure all the necessary facilities, and at the same time stressed the need to take the necessary preventive measures to prevent the occurrence of any fires and reduce them as much as possible. Possible and strengthening the work of observation points, early warning and water supply centers in forested areas, and ensuring the readiness of agricultural roads.

The Council asked the concerned authorities to be strict in dealing with violations of gas stations that manipulate the prices and distribution of oil derivatives, up to closing any violating station for a period of three months for the first time, and tightening the penalty for the second violation, with the withdrawal of the license of any station that repeated the violation, in addition to implementing the legislative decree. No. (8) of 2021 containing the Consumer Protection Law and the tightening of penalties and fines for monopoly and selling at excessive prices.

Engineer Arnous stressed the importance of cooperation and coordination with the legislative authority and full dealing with the proposals of members of the People’s Assembly and providing answers to all questions in order to achieve cooperation and integration work between the legislative and executive authorities with the aim of improving the level of services provided to citizens and following up on the implementation of development plans in all regions, indicating the need for full coordination between Ministers and governors with regard to developing the work of the directorates in the governorates and improving the service and development realities in them.

The Prime Minister pointed out the need for the ministries to begin setting standards for incentives and bonuses according to the specificity and nature of the work of each ministry and in accordance with the general framework of the incentives system recently discussed by the Council of Ministers with the aim of improving the reality of workers and increasing productivity in work sites.

In another context, the Council was briefed by the Minister of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection on the reality of the work of the Syrian Trade Corporation and its role in positive intervention and achieving balance in markets and providing a wide variety of materials and goods in sufficient quantities and competitive prices. Warehouses and branches of the institution in the governorates, which ensures the reduction of any cases of defects or corruption, as well as increasing the role of the institution in extracting agricultural seasons from the fields directly and canceling any intermediate rings, which ensures that they are sold to citizens at competitive prices.

In light of the high number of traffic accidents, especially on international and main roads, the Council stressed the need to take all traffic safety measures, including placing traffic signs, improving the technical condition of roads and focusing on technical inspection of vehicles, in addition to emphasizing the application of laws regarding excessive speed and increasing the number of monitoring devices on international roads. .

The council pointed out the importance of activating the role of real estate development companies to invest in the proposed sites and establish new real estate projects that lead to the employment of dozens of professions and provide many job opportunities related to the construction sector.

The Council reviewed the memorandum of the Ministry of Industry related to investment contracts for the rehabilitation, development and operation of buildings, equipment, equipment and means of production in a number of companies, and agreed to complete the implementation of the training and rehabilitation center for workers in the field of sanitation in Hama Governorate.
