Corona incidence in Hamburg is 505.1

The Robert Koch Institute (RKI) gave the seven-day incidence in Hamburg as 505.1 on Tuesday morning.
This emerges from figures published by the RKI on its dashboard (3:11 a.m.).
The day before, the value of new infections per 100,000 inhabitants and week was 499.2 (previous week: 705.8, previous month: 1040.5).
Nationwide, the incidence on Tuesday was 522.7 according to the RKI.
Hamburg – However, the incidence does not provide a complete picture of the infection situation.
Experts have been assuming for some time that there will be a large number of cases not recorded by the RKI - due to overworked health authorities and because not all infected people have a PCR test done.
Only these count in the statistics.
Within one day, 838 new cases were added in Hamburg.
Since the outbreak of the pandemic in February 2020, at least 560,236 infections have been detected in the city.
According to the RKI, the number of people who died in connection with Covid-19 remained unchanged at 2577.
According to the register of the German Interdisciplinary Association for Intensive Care and Emergency Medicine, 20 Covid 19 patients were treated in Hamburg intensive care units on Monday morning (10:52 a.m.), 8 of whom had to be ventilated.
According to the RKI, the hospitalization incidence, i.e. the number of corona infected people admitted to Hamburg clinics per 100,000 inhabitants within seven days, was 2.21 on Tuesday.
Nationwide, the institute gave a value of 3.90.

According to the RKI (as of Tuesday), 86.4 percent of Hamburg residents have been vaccinated at least once.
According to this, 83.7 percent have complete basic protection with the second syringe that is usually necessary.
The rate of booster vaccinations was 61.3 percent.
Two booster vaccinations have now received 6.2 percent.
