The security company of a shop in Regensburg observed a burglar using video surveillance and alerted the police.
Regensburg - On the night of Saturday (May 6th) the police arrested a burglar in a Regensburg shop in the east of the city.
Regensburg: Security company observed burglars
The store's security company used video surveillance to monitor a person on the sales floor after the store closed, police said on Tuesday (May 10).
The officials were then informed.
The police found on site that the building had been broken into and were looking for the perpetrator.
As part of the search measures, a 29-year-old suspect was arrested on the premises.
Regensburg: burglar caught in the act
According to initial findings, he had forced his way into the store and broken open the cash register.
This contained a three-digit euro amount.
The investigations were carried out by the Regensburg Criminal Police Inspectorate.
The perpetrator was released after the conclusion of the police measures.
