The military wing of Hamas defines Operation Guardian of the Walls as "a fundamental turn that has thwarted Israel's deterrence theory and that the battle against it is open."

On the occasion of the anniversary of the operation, senior Hamas figures in the Gaza Strip claimed today (Tuesday) that the operation changed the course of history in the conflict with Israel.

A senior Hamas figure in the Gaza Strip, Tawfiq Abu Naim, said that "the campaign against Hashomer Hachomot has led to a change in the equation with the occupation in a way that connects Gaza, Jerusalem and the refugee camps in the West Bank."

In an interview with Hamas Kol Al-Aqsa Radio, another senior member of the organization, Ismail Radwan, said that the "Guardian of the Walls" was a crucial stop in the transition between Zionist supremacy and the stage where the resistance managed to strike deep into Israel.

At a press conference held in Gaza by Palestinian organizations, it was said that "the sword of Jerusalem" (the Palestinian name for "Guardian of the Walls") is still drawn and that any stupid act of occupation against al-Aqsa and the leaders of the resistance will open the gates of hell. "
