Opposition leader Benjamin Netanyahu is expected to appear in the Jerusalem District Court this morning (Tuesday), where his defense attorney, Adv. Boaz Ben-Tzur, will begin his cross-examination of state witness Shlomo (Momo) Pilber. At the beginning of Pilber's main testimony, as part of the 4000 case.
In recent weeks, Pilber has been questioned by attorneys Jacques Chen, representing Shaul and Iris Elowitz, former controlling shareholders in the Bezeq-Walla! Group, who are accused of bribing Netanyahu.
During his cross-examination, Pilber argued that his conduct vis-à-vis the controlling shareholders was not exceptional conduct, and that he met with executives at competing companies such as Hot and Cellcom.
This, after in his main testimony he described how he met with Elowitz and Bezeq executives, and handed them internal documents from the ministry regarding Bezeq-related reforms in accordance with Netanyahu's directive.

Pilber claimed throughout the cross-examination that the considerations that guided him were professional, but when the judges asked yesterday to find out with him how he acted, Pilber clarified that he acted under Netanyahu's policy.
Already in the cross-examination on Elowitz's behalf, Adv. Ben-Tzur claimed that they deny that a directive meeting was held between Netanyahu and Pilber in Balfour, and that the defense will prove this through evidence later - in the cross-examination that will begin today.
