Police officers rescued a dog from an overheated car in Bavaria and brought it to the animal shelter.
They warn: "Something like this can end fatally".
Roth – For a dog in Roth, Middle Franconia, air is slowly becoming scarce.
The owner had left his four-legged friend in the car - in the blazing sun.
His rescue were the officers of the Roth Police Inspectorate, who freed the dog from the overheated vehicle.
Police rescue dog from overheated car in Bavaria – "Dog was not doing well"
Unlike in southern Bavaria, the sun burned in Franconia on the day of the rescue (May 8) at up to 25 degrees on the Free State.
"The interior of the vehicle had already overheated and the dog in it was obviously not doing well," writes the police in Central Franconia on their Facebook page under the picture of the rescued animal.
When officers got to the car, they had no time to waste.
Fortunately, the passenger door could be opened through the window, which was open about four inches.
The dog was thus quickly freed from the overheated vehicle.

Owner expects to be reported under the Animal Welfare Act
According to the police, the owner could not be reached throughout the entire operation.
"For this reason, our colleagues then brought the dog to the animal shelter." The four-legged friend was well cared for there.
The owner came some time later to pick up the animal.
He is now expected to be reported under the Animal Welfare Act.
Unfortunately, it often happens that dogs or animals are locked in the car when it is very hot.
The police in Central Franconia warn once again: "This is life-threatening and can also be fatal."
