The UDMF announces the color.
On May 3, the Union of French Muslim Democrats revealed its campaign leaflet for the legislative elections, on which appears the face of a woman wearing a hijab.
It is under this poster that the political party, founded in 2012 by Nagib Azergui, will present a hundred candidates on June 12 and 19.
Unsurprisingly, it is in Île-de-France (48 candidates) and Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes (16 candidates), regions where the Muslim population is most concentrated, that the UDMF intends to capture the community vote.

Never has the movement, which intends
to "dam up discrimination and inequalities which specifically affect citizens of the Muslim faith",
had invested so many candidates.
In comparison, the UDMF was only present in ten constituencies during the last legislative elections.
The Muslim party is not at its first attempt: it also ran for the European elections in 2019, for the municipal elections in 2020 and for the regional ones
