Opinion | The Courtyard Clown Israel today

Amir Hatzroni's words were poignant, but why throw away a chair? • This proves exactly the claim of Hatzroni that it would have been better to listen to the pluralistic critique and not to treat "Arabs" as a derogatory nickname

Tori today, he is interested in the chair that spread its wings last week in Ashdod, and if it were not for the head of Prof. Amir Hatzroni, who knows, he might have continued to fly to this day.

I of course strongly condemn the heinous thrower, and strengthen the security forces who spend nights and nights hunting for him and bringing him to justice when he is alive or dead.

I also send my best wishes for recovery to Prof. Hatzroni and say to him: Amir, you are the professor of us all.

The chair that hit you hit us all.

The thrower did not operate in a vacuum, but is a product of years of incitement.

I despise the opinion that says that a certain part of this incitement came from you, Amir, and in any case receive a strong embrace from all the people of Israel.

heart.

Especially in these days of controversy and hatred on the part of certain circles, I think it is worth learning from this incident a lesson of unity (participation is forbidden for the thrower's family and Ashdod residents) and to know that in Israel there is, and will not be, room for violence and harm.

In this respect, it is good that the incident happened in one of the peripheral cities, since from there the lesson we learned will not have to travel far to reach its destination.

The harm to Prof. Hatzroni is doubly serious, because of all our national symbols, Amir Hatzroni symbolizes Israeli pluralism in his body, and his writings are the culmination of democratic freedom of expression, as I will illustrate below.

Hatzroni boldly attacks the institutional narrative and laments the immigration of Jews from the East.

He claims that the Jews of the Eastern countries are "half-Jews from third-country countries" and that they are "kosher Arabs" who "would have been good for their parents to stay in Morocco and rot there," where they could continue to "kiss old rabbis wearing dresses."

Things may be poignant, but why throw away a chair?

After all, this proves exactly the claim of Hatzroni!

It would have been better to listen to the pluralistic critique and not to treat "Arabs" as a derogatory nickname, which exposes the racism of the residents of Ashdod.

And this is Prof. Hatzroni's view of the Memorial Day events:

"In honor of the upcoming Memorial Day, I jumped to Mount Herzl to shoot amusing videos about IDF casualties.

In previous years, I laughed mostly at mourners who volunteered for paratroopers and ended up in a closet, like the famous suicide bomber the late Roy Klein, who on his death ordered his wife Rabbi Levinstein. In the photo: I smile during the filming near graves of the victims of the Six Day War.

Precisely from the people who know from them courage and sacrifice, I expect to appreciate Hatzroni and use his words to strengthen the values of democracy for which the boys fought.

On this occasion I reject the ridiculous claim that says that the thrower actually intended to help the courtyard to sit after the latter, just before the meeting with the chair, announced that he did not intend to stand at the siren.

I have been shocked to read in recent days comments expressing support for the chair thrower and rejoicing at the damage to my backyard.

I condemn the supporters, by the way, including Likud activists, and those who sent them.

At the same time, and out of respect for the pain of the other, he says to the credit of the thrower, that he has at least carefully chosen the route of the chair so as to cause the minimal damage to the Israeli public.

Were we wrong?

Fixed!
