The fifth wave of the epidemic has eased, and social distancing measures have been loosened. I believe everyone has a happy Mother's Day and Buddha's Birthday long weekend with their families.

At present, we have not been able to say loudly that the fifth wave of the epidemic has passed, and our entire HA team has not let up at all. Instead, we have begun to grasp this period of time to sum up our experience and hope to be prepared before the epidemic rebounds or the sixth wave comes.

I also take this opportunity to express my heartfelt thanks to the top and bottom of our team.

I would like to thank my colleagues who have worked together to overcome the most difficult times in the past few months.

It is all due to our enthusiastic colleagues, who are willing to go one step further in different positions. Even though the work pressure is huge, we are not afraid of challenges and never sleep for the sake of patients.

When everyone could breathe a little, they realized that it had been a few months.

We endured the toughest days, but also showed our most professional side.

Under the fifth wave of the epidemic, medical staff are facing enormous work pressure.

It is important to have a fire in our hearts to treat patients, but we also need to sum up our experience and review our planning and response methods before facing the next challenge.

How did the HA cope with the doubled number of confirmed patients in a very short period of time?

I have heard the saying of "zero lead time" recently. Everyone who does quality management will understand that "zero lead time" is impossible in process design. The so-called "zero lead time" is believed to be the All links are prepared in advance, and different scenarios (scenarios) are included in the plan, and even drills are carried out, so as to effectively mobilize and operate in each link of "human, machine, material, method, and environment".

Emergency response requires four "Cs": communication, coordination, control, and command.

The HA has about 90,000 employees, seven hospital clusters, dozens of specialist outpatient clinics and general outpatient clinics. The structure and management are not simple. zero lead time", which requires more precise and careful execution in order to be perfect.

Although the number of cases has decreased, the HA team has not let up.

In the fifth wave of the epidemic, we have strengthened the carrying capacity of hospitals and allocated more than 11,000 general hospital beds, accounting for about half of public hospitals, to receive new crown patients. Concentrate resources" to achieve the goal of "reducing deaths, reducing severe illness, and reducing infections".

However, in the early days of the peak of the epidemic, there were patients and the elderly who had to wait outdoors for emergency services, which shows that we have not done enough.

We must conduct a serious review, and hope that everyone will use the valuable experience learned from this wave of epidemics, use new thinking and new methods to improve the existing system, formulate plans in their respective positions, and meet new challenges at any time.

"Hong Kong 01" "01 Clinic", in cooperation with the Hospital Authority, publishes a column "Garden Tour" written by medical staff every Wednesday.

Apricot Forest.

"Xinglin" comes from the story of Dong Feng, a famous doctor in the Three Kingdoms era. Later generations praised medical care as "Xinglin". Four people from Xinglin from the Hospital Authority led the garden to visit Xinglin Grand View Garden. A little bit of reason.

Looking at the epidemic from history, there is an organic cooperation between Chinese and Western medicine to fight the epidemic and pay tribute to the nurses. Where does the money come from?
