Slovak parliamentarian Lubusz Blaha confirmed that the Americans admit that they are leading the war against Russia in Ukraine, stressing that the Ukrainians are fighting to serve American interests.
Blaha said in a statement today, "Had it not been for the attempts of the United States and the West to extend towards the Russian borders and threaten its security, there would not have been a war in Ukraine," noting that this war would achieve gains for Washington, while Europe was getting weaker as a result.
Representative Blaha warned that the weapons sent by the Slovak government to Ukraine end up in the hands of Nazi organizations, which makes them a tool in the hands of the US administration, which contradicts the Slovak national anti-fascist traditions and represents a betrayal of Slovakia's national interests.
On the other hand, the Speaker of the Slovak Parliament, Boris Kolar, warned Ukraine against cutting off Russian gas supplies that pass through its territory, stressing that Ukraine has no right to do so, and that “the threat to this matter is crossing the borders.”
In an interview with Slovak TV, Kolar added that his country worked to the maximum extent to help Ukraine, while "some Ukrainian leaders allow themselves to brazenly threaten Slovakia by cutting off gas, and if they do that, we will stop any kind of aid to Ukraine."
In a related context, the head of the Social Democratic Semir Party and the former head of the Slovak government, Robert Wizzo, stressed that the European Commission's proposal to ban the import of Russian oil would constitute an economic suicide and therefore is unacceptable.
Witso called on the Slovak government to defend the state's interests in the field of energy, as does Hungary, warning that this proposal was supported by the United States to serve its interests.
