Nouakchott - Sana

Head of the Mauritanian Parliamentary Friendship Committee with Syria, Dah Sohaib, affirmed his country's continued support for Syria and its people in facing the terrorist war against it, preserving its sovereignty and territorial integrity, and liberating the remaining occupied lands and returning them to the control of the Syrian state.

Sohaib said in a statement: Mauritania will remain faithful to blood, kinship and history and will not, under any circumstances, abandon the support of the Syrian people and the state in protecting its unity and sovereignty over its entire territory, including the occupied Golan.

Sohaib explained that Syria, thanks to the sacrifices of its people, its army, and the wisdom of its leadership, was able to confront and win the terrorist war, and proved to the whole world that it is strong and resistant to conspirators.

He indicated that Mauritania is always keen to stand by Syria and support it, pointing out that the establishment of the Mauritanian Parliamentary Committee to strengthen relations with Syria came out of the duty of solidarity and brotherhood between the two brotherly countries.

In this context, Sohaib stressed that his upcoming visit to Syria at the head of a Mauritanian parliamentary delegation constitutes a message of brotherhood, support and solidarity from Mauritania to the Syrian people.
