The Russian Defense Ministry announced the downing of 30 Ukrainian Bayraktar drones during the Russian army's failure, a new attempt by the Ukrainian regime forces to retake the strategic Zmyni island off Odessa, noting that the death toll of Ukrainian Nazis reached 30.
The Ministry’s spokesman, Major General Igor Konashenkov, said in his statement this evening, carried by the Russia Today website: “The Russian air defense systems shot down a Bayraktar TB2 aircraft this afternoon in the strategic area of the island of Zmynyi. Thus, the Kyiv regime lost, over the past three days, only 30 drones in this area.” .
Konashenkov noted that all the drones participated in the failed operation of the Kyiv regime to seize Zmyni Island on the eve of May 9, the Russian victory over Nazism in the Great Patriotic War.
Konashenkov said that Russian soldiers found today 3 more bodies of Ukrainian Nazis who were washed ashore from the sea, while 27 bodies of Ukrainian and Nazi special forces fighters are still on the island.
Konashenkov revealed that in the course of capturing the strategic island, the Kyiv regime lost three Su-24 bombers, 27 fighters, 10 helicopters and 3 Centaur armored attack boats.
The Russian military operation in Ukraine has entered its 76th day, as the Russian army continues to destroy Ukrainian military sites and liberate Donbass cities and towns from Kyiv regime forces.
