The exhibition, which is organized by the Ministry of Culture in various governorates to celebrate the Syrian Book Day, contained various books in literature, history, politics, theater and various sciences, in addition to magazines, periodicals, children's stories, and others.
The exhibition's supervisor, Ramia Al-Ahmad, explained in a statement to SANA reporter that what distinguishes this year's edition is its discounts, which amounted to fifty percent of the price of books, with the aim of encouraging generations to acquire books and spread culture.
The director of the Child Culture Department in the Homs Culture Directorate, Saba, saw that the exhibition was enriched with children's books and stories at symbolic prices that are accessible to all.
For his part, writer and playwright Samer Abu Laila described the exhibition as very good in terms of the titles he presented on the one hand and in terms of competitive book prices, pointing out that the Ministry of Culture provides, through this event, a great service to all, despite the exhibition’s lack of playbooks, but it was attended by many studies related to all aspects of life. Scientific, literary and dramatic fields.
