Tom Brady, the best quarterback in NFL history, will also try to become the best broadcaster in the league ... when he finally retires.
Brady, a seven-time Super Bowl champion with the New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers, will come to Fox Sports after his playing career concludes, the network announced Tuesday.

"Over the course of this long-term deal, Tom will not only call our biggest NFL games with Kevin Burkhardt, but will also serve as an ambassador for us, particularly with respect to customer and promotional initiatives," he said. The news that Brady is joining Fox comes just as many longtime NFL broadcasters have switched networks in the past two months.

ESPN announced in March that Joe Buck and Troy Aikman were leaving Fox to direct the network's "Monday Night Football" broadcasts.

Later that month, Amazon revealed that Al Michaels and Kirk Herbstreit will host Prime Video's exclusive coverage of "Thursday Night Football" starting next season.
Michaels will step down from his position on "Sunday Night Football" to take on the new role.

The exact time Brady will join Fox Sports, of course, has yet to be defined.
After briefly retiring this season, the quarterback said in March that he would return to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers next season.
Brady, who turns 45 in August, has played 22 seasons in the NFL.
