"Shame and disgrace to hang the flags of abomination around the city":

The chairman of the Shas faction in the Rishon Lezion municipality, Rabbi Aryeh Cohen, submitted a number of questions to Mayor Raz Kinstlich demanding to know whether the municipality's money will be allocated to the Pride Parade.

In a query sent to Kinstlich, the councilor wrote: "I would like to know by law how much money the municipality funds the parade of shame (pride) and whether the municipal employees at the expense of the municipality hang the abomination flags in the city and arrange the arrangements for everything in the city by them?".

In another letter he sent, the council member sharply attacked the support of the mayor and his deputy in the Pride Parade: "It will be far from the city centers and flags will be hung only for one day and not for thirty days like last year."

"Do not be afraid of thugs of this kind"

The mayor of Rishon Lezion, Raz Kinstlich, said in response: "Unfortunately, Rabbi Cohen is once again speaking out in a dark way against an entire community in order to make headlines in the media.

"We condemn his words and have no place in our city or in a reformed country. These days, instead of fighting hearts, it is sad that there are those who try to incite hatred and non-acceptance of the other. Rishon Lezion is a pluralistic city that accepts all its inhabitants equally - regardless of gender, color "A tendency or preference of one kind or another and so it will remain."

Ofer Neumann CEO Iggy: "We have no intention of hiding or apologizing, the Pride Parade will be central and large in every city and town and any elected official who tries to silence, push and oppress us will hear us louder, see bigger marches and understand that we are no longer afraid of thugs of this kind ".
