The police arrested at least four trustees of the "612 Humanitarian Support Fund", including Xu Baoqiang, a former visiting associate professor of the Department of Cultural Studies of Lingnan University, Wu Aiyi, a former member of the legal profession, and Cardinal Chen Yat-kun, bishop emeritus of the Catholic Diocese of Hong Kong.

The police arrested at least four trustees of the "612 Humanitarian Support Fund", including former visiting associate professor of Lingnan University's Department of Cultural Studies Xu Baoqiang, former lawmaker Wu Aiyi, Catholic Bishop Emeritus Cardinal Chen Yat-kwan of Hong Kong Diocese, and singer Ho Yunshi.

It is understood that the relevant person is suspected of colluding with foreign forces in violation of the "Hong Kong National Security Law".

New Thinking issued a statement, referring to the vague definition of the crime of collusion with foreign forces, and believes that the police should release more information without affecting the investigation of the case, so that the public can understand what the regulations refer to.

New Thinking said that Hong Kong is an international city, and communication and cooperation with the international community are common. Therefore, the police should release more information to let the public understand and relieve their doubts.

In addition, New Thinking proposes to let the people involved in the case contact lawyers as soon as possible to protect the basic rights and interests of the people involved.

In addition, due to the time required to search for evidence in the case, New Thinking believes that the police should release the person involved in the case on bail pending investigation, and specifically pointed out that one of the arrested persons is old.
