The Arab Cultural Center in Kafr Sousa held a critical symposium on the story collection, The Children's Dreams series, by writer Som Salloum, which included critical readings in the book, in addition to a lyrical artistic event on the sidelines of the symposium.

In his axis, the poet Farhan Al-Khatib touched on three stories from the series, "The Polar Bear", "Danny's Secret" and "The Pioneers and His Friend the Bird", pointing to the indirect language in the stories, the economy in the language, its ease and the interesting style, considering that the writer was able to achieve the elements of the story directed to the child. successfully.

Al-Khatib indicated that children's literature in our country and in the Arab countries needs more attention from writers and the cultural authorities concerned to build a conscious and cohesive generation that will bear the responsibility of nation building.

The writer Mayada Suleiman also touched on four stories in her axis: "Queen of the Sun", "Jeddah Reem", "Hani Star" and "Rowad and his Friend the Bird", indicating that there are two directions in writing for the first child, the first is improvisational and the second is studied and qualitatively familiar with the child's psychology and writes consciously. Edraak, craftsmanship, and the writer Salloum’s series belong to the second type, as she was able to carry her literature to human dimensions.

Writer Salloum read a story from the series entitled "Osama's House", noting that her writing project, the Children's Dreams series, will be in several parts, of which she has completed two parts, each one containing three stories, the two of which the symposium revolved around.

The artist Diaa Al-Qudmani participated in a group of tarab songs, in addition to a song that carried the content of childhood, pointing to the importance of singing for children and giving it more attention.

She moderated the media symposium Sana Al-Sabbagh, which talked about the importance of introducing culture and its activities to schools for young people and young people to accustom them to interest in the cultural scene.
