Prince William and Kate Middleton want to bring a breath of fresh air to the palace – but not as the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, but as "Wills and Kate".
London – It will probably be a few years before Prince William (39) takes his place on the throne, but he is already thinking about the future of the monarchy.
The future heir to the throne and his wife Kate (40) are apparently planning far-reaching changes that could turn the royal family upside down.

Queen Elizabeth II (96) is considered a dutiful and tradition-loving regent who always keeps an eye on the strict protocol at court.
The British royals have to adhere to a variety of sometimes strange rules that determine their everyday life.
As representatives of the royal family, Prince William and Kate Middleton have always paid attention to the numerous regulations, but this should look different in the future.
Their recent trip to the Caribbean has brought harsh criticism to the duchess of Cambridge, which is said to have given them food for thought.

Upon their arrival in London, a meeting was said to have taken place with staff at the Cambridges, a palace source confided to the Sunday Mirror.
"The general consensus was that the tour felt dated, like yesterday, too formal and stuffy," the insider explained.
The parents of three probably took the reactions to their trip in honor of Queen Elizabeth's throne jubilee in 2022 to heart.
With a few important innovations, including the filing of their titles in public, William and Kate want to help the British crown to shine again.
When they meet in an official capacity, the couple should no longer appear as "Duke and Duchess of Cambridge" but introduce themselves as "Wills and Kate".

According to the insider, the change to the first names is only part of the change.
In order to adapt the strict royal protocol to today, Prince William and Kate Middleton want to take further measures: "They want to try to avoid bows and curtseys in public, to be more approachable, less formal, less stuffy, and to break away from many traditions break away and focus on a modern monarchy.”
