From June, the train will charge fees for the Park & Ride spaces at the Wolfratshauser S-Bahn station.
The city is concerned about additional parking pressure.
Wolfratshausen – The Park & Ride areas at the Wolfratshausen S-Bahn station will be subject to a charge.
Deutsche Bahn had already announced this last year, after which nothing had been heard about the plans for a long time.
For a few days, information boards have been pointing out the forthcoming fee collection.

From June, users of the two car parks will pay a fee.
This applies to the 105 parking spaces along the tracks behind the bus roundabout and the 40 spaces on Sauerlacher Straße.

Bahn requires parking fees in Wolfratshausen - "That's fair," says spokeswoman
As a spokeswoman for the railways explains when asked by our newspaper, "the provision of parking facilities is associated with costs".
In addition to the property costs, this also included cleaning and the obligation to ensure traffic safety.
"By charging parking fees, users are directly involved," said the railway spokeswoman.
"That's fair." At the train station in Wolfratshausen, several thousand people board the S7 in the direction of Munich every day.
The car parks around the train station are accordingly heavily frequented.
"In many cases, the introduction of parking fees even creates a higher availability of parking spaces at train stations," writes the company spokeswoman.
The city of Wolfratshausen reacts to the costs for P+R parking spaces at the S-Bahn station
The city is reportedly concerned that commuters and other parking users, shying away from the costs, are turning to the city's toll-free spaces and parking along the streets surrounding the station.
In order to find a solution, the parking space concept of the municipality should be revised.
As City Hall boss Klaus Heilinglechner explains to our newspaper, the municipality would like to introduce a maximum parking time of four hours in the vicinity of the station.
The issue of resident parking permits is also being considered so that they are not disadvantaged by the new regulation.
Mayor Heilinglechner will announce further information on this in the coming days.
Heilinglechner gives no hope for new parking spaces: "I don't see any possibilities"
The city cannot prevent Deutsche Bahn from putting an end to free parking.
"We were made to understand that this is a matter for the railways." So far, the Wolfratshausen commuters have "remained a bit spared".
In most municipalities, fees are already charged for Park & Ride areas.
It is not to be expected that the city will create new parking spaces in the vicinity of the station in the near future.
"I don't see any opportunities there at the moment," says Heilinglechner.
