Dog bites cyclist: master leaves victims injured

A dog appears in front of a cyclist in Dreieich (Offenbach district) and suddenly bites.
The owner does not come to the injured person's aid.
Dreieich – On Monday evening (May 9th), a dog attacked and bit a 49-year-old cyclist on Daimlerstrasse in Dreieich (Offenbach district).
According to the police, the cyclist was around 7.30 p.m. in the area of a bridge over the railway tracks when a four-legged friend suddenly appeared in front of him.
The animal is described by police as follows:
knee high
Black-brown fur
Shepherd mix
The dog is said to have barked and snapped at the man several times.
When the 49-year-old stopped riding his bike, the mongrel bit him on the thigh.

His master is said to have pulled the leashed dog away and just kept walking without paying attention to the injured person – although he spoke loudly about the bite.
The police also provided a description of the dog owner:
About 60 years
Slim stature
Shoulder-length, dark blonde hair
About 1.65 meters tall
Blue jeans
Black btx elite t-shirt
sandals
The police are investigating after the dog bite in Dreieich because of negligent bodily harm.
Witnesses are asked to call the Neu-Isenburg police station on 06102/2902-0.
Two years ago, a very similar incident occurred in the city in the Offenbach district: in Dreieich, a free-running dog knocked down a walker and injured her.
