The major fire on a construction site in Nuremberg has not yet completely died out - but it has at least been brought under control by the fire brigade.
Update from May 11, 1:03 p.m .:
The Nuremberg fire brigade is still on site at the ruins of the burned-down kindergarten.
They still fight ember nests.
According to Florianjüngern, nothing can be saved from the building.
It must be completely torn down.
Because the rubble also catches fire again and again, it is said.
The rubble is currently being transported to a waste disposal site with several trucks from a disposal company after it has been roughly extinguished.
Another fire brigade operation took place on Wednesday morning: fire debris ignited again on the loading area of a truck during transport.
The fire was quickly extinguished, it said.
The rubble trailer has significant paint discoloration on the outside due to the heat.

There was a fire on the construction site of a daycare center in Nuremberg on Monday (see initial report).
The entire ground floor was on fire, the fire had already spread to the first floor.
The extinguishing work continued into the evening.
The building was a "total loss", but fortunately no one was injured, according to the fire brigade's statement.
It was unclear why the building caught fire.

The firefighters are still fighting the major fire in northern Nuremberg, especially inside the construction site there are still flames.

Drivers are urged to drive around the area north of Nuremberg.
